Tragic end to a dying girls dream.

Sierra smiling

Sierra smiles after her room has been redone with many of her favorite singers posters.

Sierra Wells, born April 21st 1995 and aged 16 only had one dream. To meet her favorite singer Justin Bieber. The Elizabeth Sutherland Jr. High graduate was diagnosed with Leukodystrophy early on, and she battled but still managed to smile, said one of her cousins on the Metro transit on July 2nd of 2011. Her face always lit up the room when ever Justin was mentioned and everyone knew what her dream was. She even had cards that she carried with her to show off her favorite star. There had been a public reaction and outreach to Bieber and his Public relations crew to make this beautiful and wonderful young girls dream to come true.

In December of 2010 Sierra’s bedroom was remodeled and done in a very pretty lilac purple and tons of images of Justin were all over the walls and even the ceiling so Sierra who couldn’t walk or talk could see her idol. Many of her friends and family started a Facebook campaign to get this wonderful little girls dream to come true making videos and snapping pictures. They contacted CTV, ATV Live at 5, Ellen DeGeneres show and of course Justin Bieber in great hopes to fulfil just that. Sources in the surrounding area had stated that contact had been made and the young girls wish was well-known to those involved.

Sierra's wish and dream

Sadly thou, Sierra passed on July 1st 2011, at the IWK in Halifax NS with her family surrounding her. Her wish…tragiclly ended as well… She never got to meet her favorite star. She had been attending Halifax Citadel high school at the time of her passing and many of her friends will never forget how Bieber never answered the call for a young dying girls wish. One local lady from the Spryfeild area stated “It’s amazing how someone who was a nobody till he got on YouTube can ignore such a request, was his schedual too busy or was his public relation reps just too damn stuck up to even care about this dream? It’s a shame really.” many here in Halifax are disappointed in the Ontario stars lack of participation in this simple request.

Funeral arrangements have been made and will be proceeding on July 6th at the St. George’s round church in Halifax NS with Rev George Westhaver officiating, cremation will follow and burial will be at a later date. Those who wish to send condolences and donations can do so at the following address sierra_wells@bellaliant.net. My condolences go out to those who tried so very hard to make her dream come true and I’m very disappointed as well in Bieber or his crew for the lack of compassion for this young girl. To other stars out there, remember without your fans, you’re still a nobody… don’t pass off even one as unimportant. To Sierra, your beautiful smile and soul will be greatly missed by all of those who loved you and knew you. May you rest in peace.
